  INFORMATION FOR FILM PRODUCERS

From time to time, the Museum will (at cost) provide its volunteers and vehicles to producers for use in commercials, movies, documentaries -- even music videos.

Owing to our non-profit organization status, any and all funds raised through this work flow directly back to our restoration projects, the museum's maintenance and our operational budget, easing the burden on our members, patrons and fundraising activities. As you can appreciate, maintaining, insuring and fuelling and refurbishing our equipment -- much of which is anywhere from 40 to 80 years old -- is a very costly proposition.

YouTube: OLP - Naveed (1994)Our Museum's vehicles have been utilized in a number recognizable Canadian and international productions, from cola commercials to feature-length films and music videos. In the early years, several of our ferrets were featured in such productions as the popular CBC series Seeing Things.

By the mid-1990s our vehicles were showing up across Canadian popular culture. Our WW II vintage Sherman tank 'Bart' was prominently featured in Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace's video Naveed.

More recently, our equipment was featured in a few of the CRB Foundation/Histori.ca's public service award-winning history minutes commemorating Canada's military achievements and war-time history, specifically Juno Beach, Mona Parsons and The Dutch Liberation of 1945.

In Spring 2007, the Museum's APCs were used extensively in the production of History Television's production entitled The Battle of Medak Pocket  which aired nationally on the CBC in November 2007.

If you are a film or television producer and are considering employing any of the Museum's resources in an upcoming production, please contact the Museum's Executive Director via email to arrange further discussions.
